Tax Compliance Specialist – South Africa

About the role

Super Group is seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist for its South Africa operations. The role will support the Tax Compliance Manager in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings across multiple tax types, contributing to strong tax governance in a NYSE‑listed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate income tax, provisional tax, gaming tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and payroll‑related tax returns and supporting schedules.
• Collect and organise financial and transactional data from accounting systems and local finance teams for tax calculations.
• Validate data for accuracy, perform reconciliations with financial records and investigate any discrepancies.
• Maintain the tax compliance calendar, monitor filing deadlines and ensure all submissions are completed on time.
• Document tax calculations, reconciliations and compliance outputs to support audit readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance or related finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation, including corporate, indirect and payroll taxes.
• Ability to work closely with accounting and finance teams to gather required data.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
