Tax Compliance Officer – Tax & Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Tax Compliance Officer will support both individual and corporate clients in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with South African tax regulations. You will act as a liaison with SARS, handling queries, payments, and documentation to maintain good standing for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit individual tax schedules, income statements, asset & liability reconciliations, CGT calculations, and IT12 returns via e‑filing.
• Process company and trust tax returns, including IT14, IT12TR, and tax directive applications.
• Prepare IRP6 returns, tax clearance applications, and income tax registrations for individuals, companies, close corporations, and trusts.
• Facilitate SARS payments, manage dividend withholding tax forms (DWT01 & DWT02), and resolve VAT, PAYE, and income tax disputes.
• Respond to client queries and provide guidance on SARS requirements.

Required profile

• Reliable, accurate, and responsible with solid tax knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar tax compliance role.
• Computer literate with proven experience using the SARS e‑filing platform.
• Valid driver’s licence.
