Systems Specialist – Security Solutions

About the role

The Systems Specialist will join G4S Secure Solutions (SA) in Hotazel, reporting to the Regional Technical Manager. The role focuses on advanced system analysis, design, implementation and support for the security management solutions delivered by the company.

Key responsibilities

• Test and implement new software releases, producing detailed fault analysis when specifications are not met.
• Provide remote and on‑site system support, including configuration, fault finding, data conversion, export/import and consistency checks.
• Maintain system and database health through backup planning, risk identification, disaster recovery and business continuity measures.
• Lead user‑group workshops, conduct needs and business‑process analysis, and produce comprehensive documentation such as specifications, installation manuals and user guides.
• Identify automation opportunities, support business development activities and monitor competitor environments.
• Coordinate XTime certification requirements within the business unit.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualifications and proven experience in system analysis, design and support.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with development, helpdesk and field teams.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
