About the role
The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is recruiting a Storeman for its logistics, warehouse and disposal unit within supply chain management. The post is at Task Grade 06 with a total package of R 408 820.00 per annum, subject to certain conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Receive stock from suppliers and check goods against orders
- Supervise the loading and offloading of stock
- Inform user departments when stock arrives
- Collect urgent spares orders from suppliers
- Control the storage of stock
- Record returns and receipt of stock issues by entering data onto a computer
Required profile
- Grade 12 diploma; a diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain is an added advantage
- Two years of relevant experience
- Physically fit
Required skills
- Computer literacy
- Forklift certificate
- Oral communication and strong attention to detail
