Stores Supervisor (Coastal) - Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is recruiting a Stores Supervisor (Coastal) within its supply chain management function. The position is at Task Grade 08, with a total package of R 501,798.00 per annum subject to certain conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff and control stock
• Control computerised storekeeping procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards
• Process departmental requests for new stock items by allocating commodity codes
• Authorise GRNs on the solar system so that payments are effected by the Creditors section

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management
• Three years of supply chain management experience, including one year of supervisory experience
• Valid code B/EB driver's licence

Required skills

• Computer literacy
• Planning and organising, including prioritising tasks daily according to schedule and activities
• Organisational awareness, with knowledge of the Municipality's functional directorates and departments
