Store Planner

About the role

Ackermans is looking for a Store Planner in Cape Town on a full-time basis. The role covers planning and distributing seasonal and replenishment stock to maximise sales, supporting store performance analysis, visual merchandising, new store setups and resolving stock-related queries. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, solution-driven and energetic enough to match the pace of a retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute seasonal stock accurately to optimise sales.
• Distribute non-seasonal and seasonal replenishment stock to optimise sales.
• Produce location plans that cluster stores at the required product level.
• Deliver seasonal and non-seasonal replenishment profiles at the required product level.
• Provide inputs to the seasonal look for visual merchandising.
• Analyse store performance and give timely information to support business decisions.
• Ensure new stores are stocked according to plan.
• Help stores resolve stock-related queries.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2-3 years of store planning experience in a clothing retail environment.
• Grade 12 certificate (Matric) is essential.
• National Diploma or degree in Business/Retail Management or Accounting/Finance is beneficial.
• Ideal but not required: previous store management experience, exposure to logistics and supply chain processes, and experience with planning systems such as Location Planning, JDA Allocation Planning and/or Just Enough.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
• Advanced Excel is a definite advantage.
• Experience planning high-replenishment products and understanding cross-dock processes is ideal.
