Specialist: Change Management

About the role

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) provides timely and equitable social benefits to people affected by motor vehicle accidents. This Change Management Specialist reports to the Senior Manager: Change Management and delivers specialised change initiatives, making sure they are implemented within the relevant scope of the change process and assessing the impact of change on people, business processes, technology and other organisational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify risks in the change process and provide actionable solutions, and develop, execute and communicate enterprise-wide change strategies and frameworks.
• Carry out impact analysis, assess change readiness, identify key stakeholders and manage anticipated resistance to change.
• Integrate change management activities into the project plan, monitor progress and define, implement and communicate change, governance toolkits, processes and the transformation roadmap.
• Contribute to departmental policy, procedures and processes, and keep up to date with policy and practice execution strategies.
• Prepare reports, proposals, briefings and presentations, and develop functional reporting systems; represent the Fund externally.
• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders and build relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Human Resources, Change Management or a related field; a Project Management qualification is an added advantage, as is a change-related one (e.g. Prosci).
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a change management environment.
• Advanced change management experience in large-scale transformation and restructuring projects.

Required skills

• Specialised knowledge of change management methodologies and strategies.
• Programme and project management, risk management and data evaluation and trend analysis.
• Digital acumen, stakeholder relations, conflict management and reporting.
