About the role

The Spa Hostess / Backup Therapist is the first point of contact for spa guests, delivering a warm welcome and seamless service while also stepping in to perform treatments when needed. This hybrid role blends front‑of‑house duties with hands‑on therapy, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage check‑in/out and handle enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Schedule, confirm, amend and reschedule spa appointments using the booking system.
• Process payments and maintain confidential guest records.
• Keep the reception and waiting area clean, organised and welcoming.
• Coordinate with therapists and management to optimise daily spa operations and minimise waiting times.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Provide professional spa and beauty treatments (e.g., Swedish massage, deep‑tissue massage, body scrubs, facials) during busy periods or staff shortages.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintain hygiene standards and give after‑care advice to guests.
