Software Engineer – Fullstack (React & C#)

About the role

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team in Cape Town (Mowbray). The role is hybrid, with two days a week in the office, and focuses on building, testing, and maintaining modern web applications using React on the front‑end and C#/.NET on the back‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑stack features using React and C#/.NET/.NET Core.
• Follow object‑oriented programming standards and code quality guidelines.
• Provide accurate effort estimations and track progress against delivery timelines.
• Identify and raise delivery blockers promptly.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and test‑driven development.
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of relevant software development experience.
• IT diploma or degree is advantageous.
• Experience in the retail sector is a plus.

Required skills

• React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• C#.NET.NET Core.
• Web technologies and containerisation (advantageous).
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Database design with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• JSON and XML handling.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
