Site Manager – Construction & Mining Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Site Manager to lead our construction and dredging projects across South Africa. The role involves overseeing site establishment, managing teams and subcontractors, and ensuring delivery of production targets on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project activities prior to site mobilisation.
• Manage site establishment, including infrastructure set‑up and subcontractor oversight.
• Supervise a team of 20+ personnel and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Maintain equipment, schedule servicing, and handle breakdown repairs.
• Control project documentation, risk assessments, daily toolbox talks and site diaries.
• Prepare monthly measurement data for client payment certificates and compile progress reports.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate and a Technical Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or higher).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or construction, managing projects with turnover of R500 000 to R4 000 000 per month.
• Proven ability to lead teams of 20+ staff and manage subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations for mines and industrial sites.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work nationally.
