Shopify Developer – Luxury Homeware Brand

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Shopify Developer to join a leading luxury homeware and lifestyle brand. You will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing the brand’s Shopify store to deliver an exceptional user experience that reflects the visual identity and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Shopify themes using Online Store 2.0, Liquid, sections, and JSON.
• Implement responsive front‑end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate third‑party services via REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and custom apps.
• Manage Shopify admin settings, theme architecture, and meta‑fields.
• Apply version‑control best practices using Git, including branching and rollback procedures.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Qualification in Web Development, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer (agency or in‑house).
• Portfolio demonstrating visually appealing, high‑performing Shopify stores.

Required skills

• Shopify theme development (Online Store 2.0, Liquid, sections/JSON).
• Front‑end development: HTML, CSS, responsive UI.
• JavaScript (basic TypeScript exposure).
• API & integrations: REST, GraphQL, webhooks, third‑party apps.
• Version control: Git, branching, rollback awareness.
• Strong written communication.
