Shift Technician

About the role

The Shift Technician is responsible for organising and coordinating all technical activities within the workshop and production areas. The role ensures that corrective and preventive maintenance is carried out efficiently, supporting continuous production and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly to minimise production disturbances.
• Provide continuous technical support to optimise machine performance during shift operations.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections and adjustments of equipment.
• Prepare and issue work instructions, technical documentation and modification proposals.
• Supervise adherence to technical standards, guidelines and safety regulations.
• Analyse breakdowns, develop counter‑measures and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate third‑party services and manage software adjustments related to equipment failures.

Required profile

• Trade test (Red‑Seal) qualification.
• Education: Millwright – Electrical and Mechanical.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a technical position within a production environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, teamwork, problem‑solving and resilience.
• Leadership and coaching abilities, with good planning and organising skills.
