Service Technician (HVAC) – Electrician & Instrumentation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician specialised in HVAC, electrical and instrumentation to join our team in Cape Town. The role involves delivering on‑site service, commissioning and maintenance for industrial process and HVAC installations, reporting to the Director.

Key responsibilities

• Manage allocated service plans and schedule technical appointments with customers.
• Plan and execute project commissioning, coordinating electrical and control requirements with engineering teams.
• Provide on‑site troubleshooting, fault finding and corrective actions on wiring, controls and instrumentation.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensure safety protocols and compliance on all sites.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, stakeholders and internal teams through meetings, reports and post‑service evaluations.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and a valid Trade Certificate as an Electrician.
• Minimum 5 years of service‑technician experience with proven expertise in wiring, controls, instrumentation and fault diagnosis.
• Completed training in instrumentation and controls; computer literacy.
• Fluent English; Afrikaans proficiency is a plus.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Wiring and electrical installation.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
