About the role
Our client in the financial sector is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Consultant/Accountant to manage the full accounting and tax function for a portfolio of clients based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end accounting and tax processes for companies, trusts and sole proprietors.
- Prepare monthly management reports and maintain trial balances.
- Draft annual financial statements using CaseWare.
- Provide tax and accounting advice and ensure compliance with SARS regulations.
- Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax and VAT returns.
- Handle SARS correspondence, objections and debt suspension filings via e‑filing.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience in an accounting environment.
- Accounting degree or higher diploma (non‑negotiable).
- Completed articles; affiliations with SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA or SAIBA preferred.
- Proficient with CaseWare and Pastel software.
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for client visits.

What we offer
- Salary range R30,000 – R35,000 per month (no benefits).
