Senior Operations Engineer – German Speaking

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer with strong German language skills to ensure the stability, resilience and performance of our global IT environment. The role is based in Menlyn, Pretoria and follows a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain infrastructure and platform stability, availability and performance.
• Lead technical troubleshooting sessions during escalations and major incidents.
• Coordinate global IT emergency exercises.
• Manage Problem Management tickets through to resolution.
• Identify recurring operational issues and drive sustainable improvements.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure, cloud and application teams.
• Strengthen IT operational processes and service delivery.
• Support incident, problem and change management activities.

Required profile

• German‑speaking proficiency (essential).
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years in IT operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of ITIL processes and IT Service Management.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Good understanding of AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Degree in Information Systems, IT or equivalent experience.
