Senior Natural / ADABAS Developer

About the role

The Senior Natural / ADABAS Developer will design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications built on the NATURAL and ADABAS platforms. Working independently, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure the stability and continuous improvement of existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level maintenance and support for existing NATURAL/ADABAS applications.
• Develop new applications throughout the full software development life‑cycle.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, detailed system analysis and impact assessments.
• Design, code, test, debug and implement application features and enhancements.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation and user training materials.
• Participate in system integration, incident management and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience, with extensive work on NATURAL and ADABAS.
• Strong background in both batch and online processing and experience across all phases of system development.
• Proven ability to work independently from requirements to delivery.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or diploma in IT; NATURAL, NATURALOne, ITIL or COBIT certifications are a plus.
