Senior Lecturer – Industrial Psychology (Re‑advertisement)

About the role

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at North-West University seeks a Senior Lecturer in Industrial Psychology. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising honours, master’s and PhD candidates, and contributing to the school’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and develop modules for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Supervise honours, master’s and doctoral students.
• Maintain teaching administration and support quality enhancement processes.
• Publish peer‑reviewed articles, book chapters and monographs in reputable journals.
• Apply for research funding and present findings at conferences and workshops.
• Participate in academic leadership, committee work and programme coordination.
• Engage with community partners to align research and teaching with societal needs.

Required profile

• PhD (NQF Level 10) in Industrial Psychology or a related discipline.
• Registration as an Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Minimum three years of professional experience in Industrial Psychology.
• At least three years of research experience with a record of high‑impact publications.
• Three or more years of teaching experience at a recognised tertiary institution, including supervision of master’s students.
• Membership or registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) is an advantage.
