Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) at IQVIA in Centurion aligns HR strategy with business unit goals, bridging the global HR agenda with local needs. The role advises managers and employees, drives HR efficiency and process standardization across teams in Africa, and acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders within a complex, matrixed global organization.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders on HR initiatives and take part in key people decisions, giving hands-on support on performance management, team development, change management and resource planning.
• Lead HR efficiency, transformation and policy alignment projects, working with HR CoEs and Shared Service Centers, and ensure HR services meet compliance requirements in African countries.
• Oversee end-to-end Employer of Record (EOR) service delivery across Africa, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, tax and statutory requirements.
• Coach managers on organizational effectiveness, leadership development and change, and support wellbeing programs.
• Drive employee engagement, run local engagement campaigns and report HR metrics and analytics to senior management.
• Manage HR projects with measurable results, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional HR accreditation (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
• 5+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years managing the HR function at an Africa level.
• Proven expertise in aligning HR strategy with business objectives and in managing change, process improvement and HR transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation (e.g., EE, BBBEE) and local labour laws, including CCMA processes.
