Senior Data Engineer with Power BI

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Power BI expertise to design, develop and maintain advanced reporting solutions. The role combines data engineering, cloud platform development and business intelligence to deliver scalable, governed data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards with clean semantic models and efficient DAX calculations.
• Build and operationalise data pipelines and transformation workflows on cutting‑edge cloud‑based platforms.
• Manage large‑scale data ingestion, transformation, and storage using modern data engineering tools.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, governed data solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices around data quality, performance, and governance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles with a strong focus on BI tools.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including data modelling, DAX and Power Query.
• Hands‑on experience building cloud data platforms on Microsoft Fabric or Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL with complex data transformations and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Spark or PySpark and data ingestion from APIs, relational databases and streaming sources.
