Senior Architectural Technologist

About the role

Blue Projects' Project Delivery and Engineering team is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its team in Durban, South Africa. The role covers architectural design, BIM model management, multidisciplinary coordination and the production of high-quality technical documentation for projects in commercial, education and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and construction documentation using Revit and BIM.
• Lead and manage BIM models, 3D coordination, schedules and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and clients throughout all project phases.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices and new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field; a 4-year Postgraduate Diploma with extensive experience is also acceptable.
• Solid experience as an Architectural Technologist, preferably on large-scale projects.
• Experience in large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and cloud-based BIM collaboration and document control.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows.
