Senior BIM Modeler - Highways

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a Senior BIM Modeler for its Highways practice in Durban. You will assist the Design Engineers and the wider team in producing Highways/Roads models and drawings for international and/or local projects, working a mix of local and international work, likely predominantly international.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, drawings, sketches and diagrams accurately to design instructions under the supervision of an experienced engineer, using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads
• Ensure high-quality drawing outputs within project timelines and budget
• Collect and analyse information from discipline-specific and interdisciplinary BIM models when required
• Take part in design progress and coordination meetings
• Create 3D models, sketches, diagrams, schematic and final working drawings, and collect and analyse data under supervision
• Use computer software to solve basic engineering problems and perform work within agreed budget and schedule

Required profile

• Draughting certificate required
• National Diploma (NDip) is an advantage
• 8 years' experience

Required skills

• Primary competence in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or MicroStation and OpenRoads
