About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team based in Johannesburg South. The role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about accurate financial reporting and client service.
Key responsibilities
- Perform bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse management accounts.
- Handle VAT, PAYE, UIF and other statutory returns.
- Manage payroll processes.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting (CA(SA) preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in an accounting practice.
- Logistics industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, deadline‑driven and highly organised.
- Client‑focused, solution‑oriented and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s licence and excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero.
- Experience using Pastel Partner and Pastel Evolution.
- Knowledge of Sage VIP Payroll.
