Sales & Service Team Leader (FAIS)

About the role

Absa is looking for a Sales & Service Team Leader (FAIS) in Beaufort West to lead, motivate and manage a team of Service Consultants and Sales & Service Consultants. The role covers service excellence, sales performance and compliance outcomes in an integrated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily sales and service operations, ensuring service quality, team performance and efficient execution of approved plans
• Lead teams to achieve defined sales targets and support sustainable business growth
• Strengthen customer relationship management and deliver consistent service excellence
• Implement operational plans and monitor performance against agreed objectives
• Ensure compliance with risk, control and regulatory requirements, including FAIS, FICA and AML
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly controls and reporting, and monitor risk indicators
• Drive team sales and service KPIs and monitor customer experience metrics such as NPS, complaints and turnaround time
• Support consultants with complex customer interactions and escalations, and promote alternative banking channels
• Lead, coach and develop team members, manage performance and targets, run one-on-ones and performance reviews, and plan staff coverage
• Act as a brand ambassador and promote a customer-centric, ethical, performance-driven culture

Required profile

• National Diplomas and Advanced Certificates in Business, Commerce and Management Studies
• Ability to lead a team and deliver a consistently exceptional in-branch customer experience
