About the role

AFGRI Equipment is hiring a full-time Sales Clerk (Retail) in Gauteng, South Africa. The role covers the effective execution of sales and control of stock, including customer service, cross-selling and stock monitoring.

Key responsibilities

Provide efficient customer service to walk-in clients at the branch
Inform customers about additional products to enhance sales
Monitor stock levels and arrange orders from the supplier or procurement
Receive stock from the receiving department, check prices and ensure correct counts
Carry out daily, weekly and monthly stock counts
Cashier duties

Required profile

Minimum Grade 12 education
At least 1 year of experience in a direct sales environment

Required skills

Good knowledge of AFGRI Retail's product range
Computer literacy
Customer service and knowledge of policies and procedures
Good interpersonal skills, business acumen, time management and accountability
