SAIPA Clerk (Trainee Accountant) – Centurion

About the role

Join a respected accounting practice in Centurion as a SAIPA Clerk and start your journey toward becoming a SAIPA Professional Accountant. This permanent, full‑time position offers hands‑on experience while you complete your SAIPA articles.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Capture and process accounting records.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare VAT calculations and submit returns.
• Handle tax‑related administrative tasks.
• Provide support on audit and accounting engagements as needed.
• Collaborate closely with senior accountants and clients.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Required profile

• Studying towards or holding a BCom Accounting, Financial Accounting or equivalent SAIPA‑recognised qualification.
• Eligible to register for SAIPA articles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Own reliable transport (advantageous).
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
