Restaurant Manager / Manageress – Seafood Restaurant, Cape Town

About the role

Ocean Basket Blouberg, a South African seafood restaurant, is hiring an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager / Manageress to lead its team and oversee the whole restaurant operation. The role covers both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, and the employer is described as confidential; details are shared after the trial shift is confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Overall restaurant management, coordinating all departments according to Ocean Basket standards and procedures
• Staff management and training
• Front of house and guest relations
• Back of house and kitchen operations
• Stock control and inventory management
• Financial management and controls
• Hygiene, health and safety

Required profile

• Some experience (under 1 year)
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with a guest-focused, results-driven approach
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and to build positive relationships with guests and staff
• Minimum ShiftMate assessment score of 80%
• Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, public holidays and flexible shifts

What we offer

• Monthly salary of R14 000
• Trial-to-hire arrangement
