Repair Shop Assistant

About the role

The Repair Shop Assistant supports earthmoving mechanics in the daily servicing, adjustment, minor repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment. Working in a hands‑on environment, the assistant helps ensure that machines remain operational and safe for use on construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with routine servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Help perform adjustments and minor repairs under supervision.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtime.
• Prepare tools and parts needed for maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.

Required profile

• Interest in mechanical work and heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Basic aptitude for using hand tools.
• Willingness to learn on the job.
