Reliability Engineer – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead the implementation of world‑class asset management practices at New Denmark Colliery. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, managing risks and supporting the Engineering Manager and Section Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage asset management improvement programmes for the site.
• Identify and mitigate equipment reliability risks that could impact business performance.
• Implement core asset management processes such as maintenance tactics, work management and defect elimination.
• Foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement across the operation.
• Design effective maintenance plans using Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Oversee condition monitoring activities, ensuring standards and best practices are applied.
• Manage the Engineering Planning Department to ensure accurate maintenance scheduling and data capture.
• Supervise the Technical Expediting function and Subassembly Store.
• Prepare financial budgets, manage equipment performance reporting and support budgeting processes.

Required profile

• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance or reliability functions within mining or processing plants.
• Proven experience with OC/UG machinery maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Strong technical and maintenance planning background.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain a Certificate of Fitness.
