Recruitment & Growth Lead (South Africa)

About the role

RunRemote, a global staffing agency connecting top remote talent from the Philippines, South Africa and LATAM with leading companies, is looking for a Recruitment & Growth Lead based in South Africa. This is a full-time, 100% remote position reporting hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM South Africa time. As the first hire focused on South Africa, you will grow the client base across the UK and Europe and build a strong network of South African talent, taking ownership of the entire recruitment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new clients across the UK and Europe through outbound business development, including cold calls, LinkedIn outreach and email prospecting.
• Research target companies, build prospect lists and hold discovery calls to understand client hiring needs.
• Build and manage long-term client relationships and negotiate offers.
• Source, headhunt, screen and interview South African candidates, maintain talent pipelines and follow up regularly with clients and candidates.
• Manage the recruitment process from job briefing through to successful placement.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve sourcing, outreach and productivity.
• Create LinkedIn or social media content to raise brand awareness (preferred).
• Lead the growth of RunRemote's South African operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of agency recruitment experience and proven end-to-end recruitment lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated business development, client acquisition or B2B sales experience, including outbound prospecting.
• Strong network of South African talent, ideally in startups and technology.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and to take ownership of outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly regarded: LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, AI recruitment tools, email outreach and lead generation tools.
• Standout: recruiting for UK or European clients, knowledge of South African salary benchmarks, and experience across multiple industries.
