Quality Manager – Apparel Manufacturing

About the role

Prestige Clothing is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join its Caledon team. You will lead quality assurance activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring that pre‑production samples and finished garments meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Approve pre‑production samples by identifying, recommending and resolving quality risks.
• Capture sample assessment outcomes accurately and report on Quality KPIs regularly.
• Process style quality queries in collaboration with the TFG Quality Audit Department and Design Centre Brand teams.
• Monitor delivered quality standards through regular store visits.
• Align quality standards with multiple TFG brand strategies in a quick‑response environment.
• Stay updated on technical developments locally and internationally.
• Work closely with manufacturers to drive corrective action plans and total quality management projects.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Clothing Management or Fashion Design.
• Extensive knowledge of pattern making, alterations, pattern grading, fit and design balance.
• Experience in apparel manufacturing as a product quality manager or quality technician.
• Strong interest in retail, apparel, quality assurance and control.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Problem‑solving, judgement and self‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, influencing at all levels.
• Resilience and emotional maturity in high‑pressure environments.
