Project Manager - Finance Transformation

About the role

A global investment advisory firm, represented by Parvana, is hiring a Project Manager for its Finance Transformation programme. The role is based in London or Cape Town on a hybrid basis, for a 12-month contract. The client works with institutional partners and invests heavily in employee wellness and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the discovery, scoping and project definition phases to set objectives and delivery plans.
• Plan and oversee the delivery of Finance Transformation projects.
• Manage the insourcing and transition of Accounts Payable into the Cape Town Shared Service Centre (SSC).
• Lead the implementation of the Oracle ERP system to streamline finance operations.
• Ensure project activities align with organisational goals, governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Act as main contact for internal stakeholders (Finance leadership, Technology) and external vendors.
• Work with Cape Town SSC leadership on knowledge transfer and process adoption, and report transparently to senior management.
• Manage risks, dependencies and scope changes while coordinating cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• 10 years in project management within financial services or large corporate environments.
• Proven experience leading Finance Transformation programmes in highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing Accounts Payable transition projects, preferably involving Shared Service Centres.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and manage project governance, reporting and risks.

Required skills

• End-to-end Oracle ERP implementation, ideally Oracle Cloud Financials.
• Strong knowledge of finance AP processes, operating models and controls.
