Project Manager – Equipment Delivery (12‑month contract)

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for an experienced Project Manager on a 12‑month contract to lead equipment delivery projects across Southern Africa. The role covers the full project lifecycle from order intake through to customer hand‑over, working closely with customers, internal teams and site stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage equipment delivery projects from initiation to customer hand‑over, maintaining schedules, milestones, risk registers and action plans.
• Coordinate activities across business lines, supply chain, logistics, service operations, applications specialists and customers.
• Lead operational readiness, ensuring site preparation, infrastructure, documentation, training and spares strategies are in place before deployment.
• Oversee equipment manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning, and support technical teams during deployment.
• Conduct regular project review meetings, provide status reports, manage punch‑list items and ensure successful project close‑out.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards and forecasts, manage risks, issues and change requests, and ensure compliance with Sandvik processes and SHEQ requirements.

• Highly organized and customer‑focused professional.
• Experience in mining, OEM, engineering or capital equipment project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
