Project Manager – Data Migration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical Data Migration project for our client in Pretoria. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards. You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to guarantee a smooth migration of essential data and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to define migration requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the migration process.
• Lead testing activities and validate successful migration outcomes.
• Report status, issues, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary project team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT projects, preferably data migration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage scope, budget, timeline, and quality simultaneously.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering results on schedule.
