Project Manager (CAPEX, Oil & Gas/Mining)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Project Manager to lead CAPEX projects of €1M–€1.5M in a technically challenging Oil & Gas or Mining environment. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations and contractors, with full responsibility for scope, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project scopes together with internal stakeholders and create detailed execution plans.
• Prepare and manage CAPEX budgets, work breakdown structures (WBS) and cost‑tracking tools such as S‑curves.
• Lead resource, contractor and service‑provider management, including contract drafting and procurement.
• Coordinate site activities, logistics and equipment delivery.
• Monitor progress, identify schedule or cost deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality‑control and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
• Manage permits, long‑lead items, MOC processes and oversee commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over.
• Deliver as‑built documentation, training and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years as a Mechanical Project Engineer and 2–3 years as a Project Manager, or ready to step up.
• Proven delivery of CAPEX projects in the €1M–€1.5M range.
• Background in Oil & Gas or Mining with a strong HSE mindset.
• Experience managing contractors and engaging stakeholders.
