Project Manager – Asset Management (Hybrid, Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead strategic business and technology initiatives within a complex asset‑management environment in Cape Town. The role will drive projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring outcomes, timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of strategic business and technology projects, from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery schedules.
• Monitor progress, proactively address delays, risks and delivery challenges, and create momentum across project teams.
• Identify, manage and remove blockers, coordinate cross‑functional teams and track dependencies across business, technology, operations and third‑party stakeholders.
• Maintain risk, issue, assumption and dependency logs and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
• Track project budgets, monitor actual costs against forecasts and support financial reporting and budget governance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in a contract or fixed‑term capacity.
• Highly organised and delivery‑focused, able to create momentum across complex projects.
• Comfortable operating within a structured project‑governance environment while remaining pragmatic and commercially aware.
• Strong ability to work with business, technology, operations and third‑party stakeholders.
