Professional Sales Representative - Dental Portfolio

About the role

IQVIA is recruiting a Professional Sales Representative for its Dental Portfolio across Gauteng. This is a remote, field-based position reporting to a District/Unit Manager, focused on scientific selling and building long-term relationships with dentists and dental-focused pharmacies. It is a 1-year fixed-term contract with strong growth opportunities and a high likelihood of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Make 8-12 targeted sales calls per day to dentists and specialist dental pharmacies, delivering professional product detailing and clinical discussions
• Facilitate practice-based training, lunch-and-learns and product demonstrations, ensuring 95-100% territory coverage
• Manage territory activities within approved expense budgets, record calls and insights in Salesforce/iQCRM, and handle orders and follow-ups
• Represent IQVIA and client brands at dental congresses, CPD events and industry conventions
• Build partnerships with dental associations, dental school faculty and oral health groups, and deliver CPD/CME-aligned educational sessions and webinars
• Support collaboration with key opinion leaders in dentistry
• Develop a territory action plan, review sales data and CRM insights, and deliver quarterly business reviews
• Complete IQVIA and client training, certification and compliance modules, and meet KPIs

Required profile

• Matric essential; healthcare, dental or commercial diploma/degree advantageous
• Mandatory experience calling on dentists; experience calling on dental-focused pharmacies is advantageous
• Must reside in Gauteng and travel daily within the territory
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport

• Proven ability to independently manage a field sales territory
• Strong relationship-building, communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment
• Advantageous: pharmaceutical, oral care or medical device sales experience
