Professional Engineer – Boiler Plant (P13)

About the role

Eskom is seeking a Professional Engineer for the Boiler Plant at Lethabo Power Station. The permanent position (Task Grade P13) focuses on sustaining and improving the performance of the allocated plant. The role is based onsite in Deneysville, Free State.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve allocated plant performance.
• Identify and resolve plant problems.
• Manage plant modifications.
• Lead engineering projects.
• Provide technical engineering advice.
• Support plant performance improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng Engineering degree (NQF Level 8, 480 credits).
• Completed graduate training programme or minimum 2 years engineering experience.
• Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer (mandatory).
• Computer literacy.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Leadership and teamwork abilities.

• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards.
• Root‑cause analysis expertise.

• Familiarity with Eskom processes and governance.
