Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee sourcing, purchasing and supply of materials for our glass and aluminium manufacturing and installation operations. The role ensures materials are obtained at the best price, quality and delivery time while maintaining strong supplier relationships and uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, sealants, gaskets, accessories and consumables.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and supplier agreements.
• Issue purchase orders, monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Maintain a reliable supplier network and conduct supplier evaluations.
• Monitor stock levels, prevent shortages or overstocking and support inventory reconciliations.
• Liaise daily with production, planning and installation teams to ensure material availability and coordinate deliveries.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, track procurement expenditure against budget and analyse purchasing trends.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, process invoices and delivery notes and prepare reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in glass, aluminium, manufacturing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, glass products and related hardware.
• Experience sourcing both local and imported products and negotiating supplier contracts.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or related field (preferred).
• CIPS or similar procurement qualification (advantageous).

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with procurement or ERP systems.
