Private Banking & Advisory Graduate Academy (2027)

About the role

FNB is launching its Private Banking and Advisory Graduate Academy for 2027, a full‑time, contract‑based programme designed to develop recent finance and investment graduates into professional Private Advisors. Participants will receive structured training across financial planning, investment strategy, wealth management and client advisory services while working on‑site at one of the three regional hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess high‑net‑worth clients’ financial needs and risk profiles.
• Prepare comprehensive financial plans and investment portfolios.
• Provide wealth‑preservation and estate‑planning advice.
• Stay compliant with regulatory and FAIS requirements.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Present financial recommendations and maintain confidential client information.

Required profile

• FAIS‑accredited qualification at NQF Level 7 (undergraduate) or Level 8 (postgraduate) in finance, investment or related field.
• Strong interest in private banking and client‑facing advisory roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to be based in Gauteng, KwaZulu‑Natal or Cape Town.
• Analytical mindset with solid numerical ability.
