Plumber / Loodgieter (TC 80)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established property development and management group, is seeking a qualified plumber to support its commercial, residential, industrial and student accommodation projects. The role involves working across the company’s offices in Pretoria and Johannesburg, travelling regularly between sites to ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blocked drains, burst pipes, faulty valves, taps, geysers, pumps and sanitary fittings.
• Install, maintain and repair water‑supply, drainage, sewerage and storm‑water networks.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing and issue Certificates of Compliance where required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and compliance documentation.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies within agreed service levels.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and site management regarding maintenance needs.
• Ensure tools, equipment and vehicles are kept in good condition and adhere to OHS requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant plumbing qualification and registration recognised in South Africa.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Pretoria and Johannesburg sites.
• Strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and accurate record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Plumbing system maintenance (preventative and reactive).

• Water‑supply system installation and repair.
• Inspection and testing of plumbing infrastructure.
