About the role
Omnia Agriculture is seeking a Plant Operator to support safe production, loading and off‑loading of fertiliser products and raw materials. The role involves operating plant equipment, performing quality checks and handling administrative tasks in a chemical production environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, safety, environmental and site security requirements.
- Operate plant equipment to produce and load liquid fertiliser.
- Off‑load raw materials and safely handle N‑Gas.
- Perform in‑process quality checks and follow testing procedures.
- Operate and monitor production‑related computer systems.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the plant.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities.
- Participate in off‑season maintenance projects.
Required profile
- Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a chemical production environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Physically fit and able to perform operational duties.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
- MS Office proficiency.
