Plant Manager – Medical Waste Treatment

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Plant Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our medical waste treatment plant in KwaZulu‑Natal. The role involves ensuring smooth plant performance, managing production staff and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee disposal and treatment of medical waste materials.
• Maintain records of waste processing activities.
• Train and supervise plant staff.
• Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a waste treatment plant.
• Minimum five years’ experience in waste treatment operations.
• Matric qualification; a relevant further qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
