Part-Time Lecturer (Entrepreneurship) 2027

About the role

The Faculty of Management Sciences at the Bloemfontein Campus of the Central University of Technology, Free State is recruiting part-time lecturers for 2027 in the Entrepreneurship Development programme. The main purpose is to develop academic material and deliver lectures in allocated subjects for own and other programmes, and to carry out community projects. The appointment is on an hourly basis for specific semester and/or year subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach, learn and assess students in the listed subjects, including student evaluation
• Carry out research and contribute to administration, control and organisation
• Deliver community service
• Classes are given on Saturdays during the day; the format is expected to be face-to-face, remote or hybrid, and facilitation and assessment formats may change on short notice
• Lecture on the CUT Bloemfontein campus and be available during scheduled class hours, which may include day and/or evening work

Required profile

• At least a cognate Master's degree (NQF 9)
• Previous lecturing experience is recommended
• Experience with electronic education (Blackboard) is recommended
• Own laptop computer

What we offer

• Hourly pay depending on qualifications and experience: R292 (Junior Lecturer), R358 (Lecturer), R438 (Senior Lecturer) and R600 (Assistant/Professor) per hour in 2026
• Subjects include entrepreneurship, project management, global business strategy, human capital management, operations and supply chain, leadership, marketing, accounting and strategic entrepreneurship
