About the role
An established, highly regarded franchise in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking for an experienced Optometrist to join its team. The practice is described as well supported, with a strong team environment, ongoing support from experienced colleagues and the chance to work alongside more senior Optometrists.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
- Advise patients on eyewear selection, lens options and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in optometry
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience (listed as between 3 and 5 years)
- Optometry degree and HPCSA registration
- Updated CPD points
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver's licence
- Professional, motivated and customer-focused approach, working well in a supportive team
