Operations Manager – Cleaning Services (KZN North Coast)

About the role

Our client, a high‑end resort on the North Coast of KwaZulu‑Natal, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead cleaning and service delivery. This hands‑on role requires a seasoned hospitality professional who can ensure operational excellence while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and service delivery within the resort environment.
• Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall operational performance.
• Build and nurture professional client relationships.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for operational teams.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, budgets, costs and ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and performance reviews.
• Address operational challenges with corrective and preventative actions.
• Oversee workforce planning, attendance, productivity and wage control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety legislation and client requirements.
• Support reporting, forecasting and performance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support new initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Operations Management role.
• Extensive experience in hotel, resort or similar hospitality environments.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple operational functions.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and performance‑management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, wage control and cost management.
• Experience working with SLAs, KPIs, audits and operational reporting.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
