Operations & Front of House Manager – Lodge

About the role

The lodge is looking for a hands‑on Operations & Front of House Manager to own day‑to‑day activities, ensure smooth guest experiences and drive commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee reception, reservations, housekeeping and food‑and‑beverage operations.
• Maintain high guest‑service standards and resolve complaints promptly.
• Plan staff rosters, monitor performance and enforce discipline.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and property.
• Manage stock, purchasing, supplier relationships, costs and waste.
• Handle cash‑ups, POS transactions and basic financial controls.
• Control staffing levels and labour costs.
• Address maintenance and operational issues quickly.
• Update operational procedures, checklists and standards.
• Prepare accurate operational reports for ownership.
• Provide hands‑on support across all lodge departments when needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years hospitality experience in a lodge, boutique hotel or guesthouse.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Practical knowledge of front‑of‑house, reservations, housekeeping and F&B operations.
• Experience with stock control, purchasing, cash‑ups and POS systems.
• Computer literate, especially Excel and reservation software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays.
