Operations Coordinator - Fuel & Logistics

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join a fast‑paced organisation within the fuel and logistics sector. The role involves coordinating day‑to‑day operational activities such as fuel orders, load planning, delivery scheduling, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and confirm fuel orders and plan load schedules for customers and depots.
• Coordinate transporters, monitor deliveries and keep customers updated on progress.
• Order lifting slips for cash, terms and COC loads and update reconciliations.
• Link deliveries on the operational portal and complete Transnet & Synchrony KPI reconciliations.
• Coordinate contractor logistics services and provide operational cover when required.
• Maintain accurate operational records, follow up on outstanding orders, payments, slips and deliveries.
• Identify and escalate operational challenges or delays in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and SHERQ requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric qualification.
• Previous experience in logistics, transport or operations environments.
• Qualification in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain or Transport (advantageous).
• Fuel industry experience (advantageous).
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Strong follow‑up and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
