About the role
Dis-Chem’s Cape Town Distribution Centre is looking for a Mezzanine Supervisor to lead operational excellence across planning, procurement, picking, checking and dispatch activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and release daily waves, maintain the order system and manage emergency orders.
- Ensure customer orders are processed within two days and resolve related queries.
- Prioritise special and high‑value orders, manage picking productivity and accuracy.
- Oversee checking staff to guarantee accurate packing, labelling and invoicing.
- Maintain accurate stock records, monitor KPIs and report health‑safety hazards.
- Implement stock rotation procedures (FEFO) and manage damaged or short‑dated merchandise.
Required profile
- Grade 12/Matric and at least 1 year of relevant warehousing experience.
- Knowledge of management systems, occupational health & safety regulations and supply‑chain processes.
- Advantageous: a degree or diploma in Supply‑Chain or Logistics.
