On-Page SEO Specialist

About the role

The On-Page SEO Specialist will optimise website content for local plumbing and HVAC businesses, improving search visibility and user engagement. You will map out SEO strategies for new clients, assess performance, and implement on‑page improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Research target service areas, including keyword volume, population and income data.
• Audit existing client websites to identify strengths, weaknesses and transferable content.
• Conduct keyword research for service pages, selecting primary, secondary and semantic terms.
• Design site navigation, page hierarchy and URL structures for a user‑friendly experience.
• Create SEO‑optimized meta titles, descriptions and H1 tags.
• Quality‑assure copywriter content for keyword targeting, internal linking and overall quality.
• Review staging and live sites to ensure all on‑page SEO elements are correctly implemented.
• Collaborate with GBP Specialist, Technical SEO Specialist and the SEO Director.

Required profile

• 3+ years in an SEO‑focused role (specialist, manager, etc.).
• At least 1 year working with local, service‑based businesses.
• Fluent English with strong content‑writing knowledge.
• Deep understanding of on‑page SEO best practices.
• Proficiency with content management systems, especially WordPress.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.
• Basic familiarity with SEO analytics and performance metrics.
