Officer: Promotions & Activations

About the role

The Road Accident Fund provides social benefits to people affected by motor vehicle accidents. This officer reports to the Manager: Campaigns Management and supports the Promotion and Activations Specialist in running promotions and activations programmes. The role covers project administration, logistics coordination, document management, merchandise handling, reporting and budget monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule promotions and activations requests from internal and external stakeholders and assist with the calendar of events
• Follow up on regional preparations, update regions on service providers and keep the project plan current
• Coordinate logistics for site visits, branding material delivery and events, including drafting accommodation and travel summaries
• File reports and executive summaries and maintain the filing system
• Handle requests for promotional material and branding, record them on the merchandise register and order items in line with RAF style guides
• Plan and run mobilisation plans with the Regional Manager: Marketing and Communications, and compile mobilisation reports
• Receive and verify service provider invoices against purchase orders, advise on quarterly fund transfers and help maintain vendor relationships
• Answer stakeholder enquiries and contribute to on-time invoicing and payment of procured items

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in marketing, advertising or a communication-related field
• Relevant 3 years' experience in a promotions and activations environment
• Certification in project management is advantageous
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA and proof provided
